First Screening Event Announced: London, April 2026

Mark your calendars: the first public screening of "In the Shadow of Now" will take place at the Barbican Centre, London on April 18, 2026. This landmark event will premiere excerpts from all five parts of the documentary series, followed by a moderated panel discussion.\n\nConfirmed panelists include members of our production team, historical consultant Professor Ilan Pappé, and journalist Mehdi Hasan. The event will be moderated by filmmaker and activist Arundhati Roy.\n\nThe screening is part of the Barbican's "Documentary Futures" programme, which highlights filmmaking that challenges conventional narratives and amplifies underrepresented voices. We are honored to be included alongside other groundbreaking documentary projects.\n\nTickets will be available through the Barbican box office from March 25, 2026. A limited number of complimentary tickets will be reserved for members of our volunteer community — details will be shared via our community forum.\n\nFor those unable to attend in person, we are exploring livestream options. Additional screening events are being planned for New York, Berlin, Beirut, and Cape Town in the months following the London premiere.\n\nThis screening represents a major milestone for the project. From an idea shared among a small group of concerned filmmakers to a premiere at one of the world's most prestigious cultural venues — this journey has been powered by the commitment and generosity of our community.
